MCS-150 Update

The MCS-150 Update is a mandatory filing that allows motor carriers to keep their company details current with the FMCSA. This update reports key information such as business operations, vehicle count, driver totals, and the types of cargo transported.

Every motor carrier with an active USDOT number must complete an MCS-150 Update at least once every two years. If any business information changes before the scheduled biennial update—such as company name, address, or operational status—the carrier must submit a new MCS-150 immediately.

Keeping this information up to date ensures regulatory compliance and prevents delays, fines, or USDOT number inactivation.
